Three (3) full-time, fixed-term positions through to 31 December 2026.
Base salary will range from $82,057 – $109,246 (Academic Level A) + 17% Superannuation.
Based at the Translational Research Institute at our Dutton Park campus.
About These Opportunities
We are seeking three Postdoctoral Research Fellows to join our world-class research team at the Frazer Institute to support and drive cancer epigenomics research.
We are specifically looking for early career researchers who have a passion for epigenetics and a keen interest in translating research into clinical applications.

Working under the guidance and direction of Associate Professor Jason Lee, successful candidates will conduct vital research in cancer epigenomics with the aim of developing novel biomarkers and therapeutics.
Specifically, you will support the major project Understanding and Overcoming Resistance to new and emerging Therapies in Uveal Melanoma which is supported by the US Department of Defense in collaboration with UNSW, Macquarie University and pharmaceutical companies.
These three research focused opportunities are being sought as follows:
Positions 1 and 2 will conduct research into melanoma treatment resistance.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of molecular (CRISPR screens, Chromatin IP, ATAC-seq) and cellular biology (cell death mechanisms, immunology), and experience with animal models and organoid cultures.
Position 3 will focus on Bioinformatics.
The successful candidate will develop computational tools for analysing gene expression (single cell, spatial) and metabolomic data in the context of cancer including melanoma and pancreatic cancer.
You will lead the application of AI and machine learning to identify novel therapeutic targets and advance precision medicine approaches.
