The Senior Operator is responsible for coordinating the completion of day-to-day operational activities by the production/process workers on shift and training all newly appointed production/process workers to the required standard. · At the commencement of each shift, work with the Leading Hand in: - assigning operators to machines based on their level of competency, and coordinating staggered meal breaks for the shift. · Provide on-the-job training to all new production/process workers. · Conduct SOP training with all operators. · Train and integrate new employees on-site to the required standard of performance. · Provide guidance and feedback to employees when needed. · Resolve conflicts between employees. · In coordination with the Leading Hand, assign duties/tasks to employees and oversee their progress. · Actively contribute to toolbox talks and huddles. · Ensure staff are working safely and reporting safety incidents and hazards Key Competencies Being Customer and outcome-focused : - Using the framework set out by the business, coupled with knowledge, experience and lateral thinking to meet and exceed customer requirements.
