Autolac is a leading supplier of Automotive paint and consumables to the vehicle refinishing industry. We are a customer-focused business that believes in delivering the best service experience possible for our customers.

Due to ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Representative to join our team. This role would be suited to a qualified tradesperson looking to step into a technical role in the Western Sydney region. While still hands-on, you would be working with existing and prospective customers, demonstrating the technical advantages of our suite of products and what sets us apart from the competition.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and results-driven business development professional with a proven ability to cultivate long-term client relationships. A commercial mindset, adaptability, and exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:


• Promote the technical advantages of products in the product portfolio through regular product demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders


• Work with existing and new customers on identified coating issues to find a proactive resolution


• Train customers and internal stakeholders on coating techniques that enable a transition to our coating products


• Demonstration and training in colour selection mixing software


• Complete the installation of Paint systems and troubleshoot with existing customers


• Assist customers in preparing work areas such as paint rooms to achieve best in class paint storage and coating facilities


• When required, assist key customers with painting needs which may involve assisting with daily operations and upskilling their workforce through training


• Deliver consistent product training and ongoing support to customers


• Contribute to marketing initiatives and assist in shaping strategy


• Support the introduction of new products to the market

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about learning new products and helping people. They will be able to think outside the square when dealing with issues and be self-confident with their technical knowledge and advice whilst being a true team player.

Required Competencies and Experience:


• Trade Qualified Spray Painter


• Minimum 10 years' Experience


• Excellent Customer Service Skills


• Demonstrated experience in building brands and fostering enduring customer relationships


• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities


• Flexible, adaptable, and pragmatic approach to tasks


• Hands-on, collaborative working style


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

This role comes with an attractive salary package and a fully maintained company car. Some regional travel to Customers maybe be required.
