Description

Reach further with us! This is a rare opportunity to join the senior leadership team at Anglicare WA as the General Manager, North West Services. In this pivotal role you will lead and inspire a diverse team of Service Managers, staff, and volunteers across the Kimberley and Pilbara, delivering high‑quality, integrated, and culturally responsive services. You will champion place‑based, client‑centred approaches that empower individuals, families, and communities to thrive.

Reporting to the Director of Services, you will oversee a substantial regional portfolio, manage budgets, and play a key role in shaping Anglicare WA’s strategic direction. You’ll drive innovation, identify service growth and development opportunities, and build strong partnerships with local communities, government, and sector stakeholders. Thrive in a role where your leadership fosters resilience, inclusion, and lasting positive change across Western Australia’s North West.

This is a permanent, full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) available for an immediate start. The role is based in East Perth or any major centre in the Pilbara or Kimberley. The successful candidate will have to travel within the NW region from time to time. Anglicare WA is supportive of flexible work arrangements, including hybrid working arrangements.

About You

You are an inspiring and strategic leader committed to creating a just and fair Western Australia where everyone can thrive. With deep experience leading complex service portfolios across diverse and remote regions, you bring clarity, direction, and energy to your teams—guiding them to deliver integrated, person‑centred services that make a real difference.

Requirements

* A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or Human Services (postgraduate qualifications in management or human services are highly desirable).
* Proven ability to express a strategic vision, influence organisational change, and lead delivery of integrated, place‑based services.
* Demonstrated experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams—including leadership of leaders—across multiple sites and remote regions.
* Strong capability in developing, negotiating, and managing complex funding contracts and partnerships.
* Extensive financial management experience, including preparing and managing multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
* A collaborative leadership style that fosters innovation, accountability, and a culture of respect and inclusion.

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children’s Check, and a WA driver’s licence. The organisation may also require an international police clearance if necessary.

Impact and Benefits

Sharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact on the lives of families and communities across the state.

* Starting salary from $160,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
* Salary sacrifice up to $15,900 of pre‑tax income per year
* Additional 3 days of leave over the festive period
* Access to regular professional development opportunities
* Flexible working options

In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive, engaged and welcoming culture and community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.
