**The Opportunity**
This is a newly created role within the ANZ/Worldline CPO. Reporting directly to the Head of Acquiring you'll be responsible for managing our acquiring platforms, systems and products to make sure they meet business requirements. We are looking for an acquiring platform guru adept in bridging the gap between the non-technical and the technical.
In a nutshell this role is about:
- Taking end-to-end ownership of our backend acquiring systems for the Australian market
- Bridging the gap between non-technical stakeholders and technical / development teams
- Translating high-level business requirements into actionable technical / functional specifications
- Configuring / customizing acquiring platforms and systems locally
- Aligning with global acquiring platform and system development teams
- Becoming the source of acquiring platform and systems expertise for internal teams in Australia and beyond
**Your day-to-day responsibilities include**
- Working within the Acquiring Team and in close collaboration with other teams in CPO
- Working with the key stakeholders throughout the organization - including Pricing, Scheme Management, Sales and Legal Teams - to manage, refine and implement business and regulatory requirements
- Taking end-to-end ownership of new and existing acquiring platform capabilities and selected payment products / features built upon it
- Acting as the go-to acquiring platform system expert for internal and external stakeholders in Australia, including merchants & partners
- Ensuring platform and system features, as well as related business processes, are aligned with customer T&Cs and remain fully compliant
- Initiating and supporting implementation projects for new products or product features related to (but not limited to) acquiring platform developments
**Skills we can't do without**
- Relevant education in Business, IT and / or Engineering
- Actual experience in merchant acquiring and specifically having worked hands-on with acquiring backend systems is a non-negotiable must
- Hands on experience in defining technical specifications while having worked at the interface between non-technical stakeholders and technical / development teams
- Diligent, autonomous, zero-defect working style
- Excellent analytical / technical skills and superb knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to translate those skills into meaningful, management-ready outputs, in particular via PowerPoint and Excel
- Outstanding communication skills (incl. excellent written and spoken English, well-structured communication style)
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent team player within an international environment, and fun to work with
**Bonus points for**
- Base24 or PASS platform development or configuration experience
- Experience as a Business Engineer of Product Manager within merchant acquiring
- Working experience in both Australia and Europe
