Safety & Training Lead - OH&S Coordinator
About the Role:
The successful candidate will oversee safety initiatives and employee training at our food processing facility in Bendigo. The role requires a strong focus on risk management, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls. This involves conducting regular site inspections, monitoring employee behavior, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
2. Training delivery to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely. This includes developing and delivering training programs, conducting inductions, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
3. Communication across departments to promote a culture of safety and well-being. This involves building relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or higher qualification.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* A proactive approach to safety and training to drive continuous improvement.
