Communications and Engagement Lead – Hender Care
Location: Adelaide, SA, AU.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate Services & Governance, the Communications & Engagement Lead plays a key role in delivering high‑quality internal and external communications that align with Hender Care’s purpose and strategic priorities.
In this newly created role you will develop creative content, manage our digital and social channels, support marketing campaigns, and ensure brand consistency across all communications.
Responsibilities
- Support storytelling that highlights Hender Care’s values, achievements and people.
- Prepare and distribute regular updates, staff newsletters and event communications.
- Design and coordinate marketing materials.
- Assist Relationship Managers with planning and promoting events such as expos, staff recognition events, and community engagement activities.
- Track social media engagement metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop engaging social media, website, or campaign content.
- Create clear, engaging, and consistent messages that connect our people, strengthen our brand, and enhance engagement across the organisation.
Ideal Candidate
You’re a proactive communicator with a passion for storytelling, detail, and brand excellence. You bring creativity and structure to your work and thrive in a collaborative environment.
You’ll Bring
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – you enjoy connecting with people and turning their experiences into stories.
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Share Point, Hootsuite, Vision6, or Word Press.
- A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and creative under pressure.
