Hader Clinic Queensland Private is a 25-bed Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Mental Health hospital. We provide safe detoxification, rehabilitation, and recovery treatment in a therapeutic and supportive environment. Our philosophy is to address the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors of addiction, helping individuals move towards abstinence and a healthier future.
The Role We are seeking a committed Night Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is essential in providing safe, high-quality care overnight, ensuring continuity of treatment and wellbeing for patients. "As a Night Nurse at Hader Clinic Queensland Private, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through one of the most vulnerable stages of their recovery journey. Working overnight, you'll provide reassurance, clinical care, and stability — ensuring every patient feels safe, supported, and cared for while they take courageous steps toward a healthier, addiction-free life. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver nursing care and monitoring for patients undergoing detox and rehabilitation.
* Administer medications and liaise with doctors, psychiatrists, and pharmacists as required.
* Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies overnight.
* Maintain accurate patient records and handover notes.
* Support therapeutic engagement in line with our recovery-focused philosophy.
* Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
* Current AHPRA registration (RN/EN).
* Experience or interest in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Mental Health nursing.
* Strong clinical skills in assessment, monitoring, and decision-making.
* Ability to work independently during night shifts.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Willingness to complete AOD/Mental Health training (provided onsite).
