Job Title: Track Supervisor
This role involves playing a key part in the maintenance and upgrade of critical signalling assets that ensure safe and efficient regional travel.
You will lead a skilled team and report directly to a Regional Asset Manager. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the delivery of asset renewal activities and ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and schedules.
* Prioritizing, programming, and supervising day and night track maintenance works.
* Inspecting track assets and recommending maintenance strategies.
* Certifying track as fit for traffic following repairs or renewals as required.
* Coordinating labour, plant, and materials to meet budgets and timelines.
* Responding to emergency repairs and managing after-hours incidents.
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards and contractual obligations.
* Maintaining accurate work records and overseeing Infrastructure Management System entries.
* Leading and mentoring staff, fostering a strong team culture.
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to minimize service disruptions.
* Championing V/Line's values and safety-first approach across all activities.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Proven experience supervising track maintenance teams.
* A strong understanding of safety, compliance, and asset performance.
* The ability to manage rosters, resources, and emergency responses.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
* Cert III Rail Infrastructure or PTC Legacy qualifications such as Road Foreman, Mobile Gangers, Special Gangers.
* A valid Driver's Licence.
