Change Lead - Higher Education Transformation
Location and Compensation
Sydney | 12-Month Contract | $1,200/day (incl. super)
We are partnering with a leading Higher Education institution to recruit an experienced Change Lead for a major business transformation program focused on enhancing student learning and the overall student experience.
This is a highly strategic role, working at the forefront of a complex, enterprise-wide initiative that will shape how education is delivered and experienced.
The Role
As the Change Lead, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end change strategy and delivery across a large-scale transformation program. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, academic leaders, and program teams to ensure successful adoption and long-term sustainability of change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of the overarching change strategy across the program
* Partner with senior executives, faculty leaders, and key stakeholders to drive alignment and engagement
* Conduct change impact and readiness assessments across diverse stakeholder groups
* Design and deliver targeted communication, engagement, and adoption strategies
* Oversee business readiness activities, ensuring smooth transition into new ways of working
* Mentor and guide change managers and project teams across multiple workstreams
About You
* Proven experience as a Change Lead on large-scale, enterprise transformation programs
* Mandatory experience within Higher Education (universities or equivalent institutions)
* Strong track record delivering change across student-focused or academic transformation initiatives
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with experience influencing at executive and faculty level
* Deep expertise in change frameworks (e.g. PROSCI, ADKAR) and end-to-end change delivery
* Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in delivery
