Global Mobility Professional
Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Global Mobility professional to lead our team in managing international workforce transitions, ensuring compliance and enhancing the employee experience across borders. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing the full lifecycle of global expatriate management, developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships globally.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage Global Expatriate Management Cycle with strong partnerships with Business Partners
* Engage with assignees for engagement and regular connections
* Develop and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships globally
* Identify and mitigate risks in all areas of Global Mobility (immigration matters, employer taxes, relocation management)
* Pre-assessment management – consultation with business leaders on the purpose of the move, completion of cost projections, collaboration with People team on talent profile of candidate
* Provide subject matter expertise and consult with stakeholders as it relates to Global Mobility Standards interpretation for long-term and short-term international assignments, permanent relocations, external international hires, project workers and frequent business travelers
* Provide regular and relevant insights on Global Mobility trends
* Main point of contact for immigration related matters for international moves to and within the Asia Pacific region
* Work closely with the Global Mobility Leader on immigration and relocation operational program enhancements and projects
* Support in guiding the People, Talent Acquisition teams and Business on all Global Mobility related matters
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree holder, Master's degree preferred (but not a requirement)
* General Experience: Wide and deep experience providing expert competence (8 years and above); Managerial Experience not required (Individual Contributor)
* Extensive background in all aspects of Global mobility (not limited to an area) – immigration, tax, payroll, mobilizations / assignment on international projects, entire assignment lifecycle, relocation management and third-party provider coordination (immigration, tax, relocation, etc)
* Experience in handling inter-country transfers across Asia Pacific Region (APAC)
* Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and responsiveness to dynamic business environments
* Provide expert guidance to employees, managers, and HR partners on global mobility programs, policy compliance, and strategic talent mobility
* Excellent communication skills to provide guidance and advice to diverse stakeholders
* Initiative-driven, proactive and autonomous worker
* Amenable to work on schedule that would support APAC region but would directly report to lead based in Canada (Mid-shift to overlap from APAC/ US Time)
