(RPEQ). Energy Queensland is the group of electricity distribution, retail, and energy services businesses 100% owned by the state of Queensland. We deliver electricity across Queensland through our ‘poles and wires’ businesses Energex and Ergon Energy Network. Our retailer, Ergon Energy Retail sells this electricity to customers throughout regional Queensland. You’ll provide engineering support to your assigned workgroup by undertaking specific investigations, risk-based assessments, engineering research and analysis, design and/or providing project assistance as required. Participate in development opportunities provided and sponsored by the Graduate Engineer Development Program e.g., coursework, seminars, and team activities. Take ownership for career planning and personal development while working with your allocated mentor, including, monitoring, and reviewing progress against performance criteria to ensure you have the skills required to grow your career. Contribute to the completion of project/team deliverables through the timely application of engineering research, modelling, techniques, and methods to allocated tasks. About you
You’re imaginative, passionate, and motivated to succeed in your career. You work safely, think creatively, embrace diversity, and want to engage, to listen, learn and expand your knowledge. You’re about to or have recently graduated (within the last two (2) years), with a Bachelor of Engineering from an institution recognised within Australia with a strong academic record. You're a great collaborator and communicator and enjoy working in an inclusive and supportive team. You aren’t afraid to stand out in a crowd and you are known for your growth mindset and adaptive and innovative thinking.
