About the role
The Student Pathways and Careers Division provides a focus on ensuring every student is able to complete their secondary education and transition to a meaningful pathway post-school which results in employment in South Australia through vocational education and training, and / or higher education.
Reporting to the Director, Technical Colleges Network, the Education Lead, Technical Colleges is a system leadership role within the Student Pathway and Careers division that supports the South Australian Government's network of technical colleges. These technical colleges equip school students with the skills and disposition for careers in key industries to help meet South Australia's workforce needs.
The position is responsible for supporting partnering school principals, Technical College Leads and their leadership teams to foster a networked approach to continuous improvement, high-quality industry-training programs, student wellbeing and student experience so that students achieve positive outcomes.
Qualifications – Essential
* An appropriate tertiary qualification in education including post‑graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline desirable or relevant experience.
* Experience leading in a large and complex organisation at an executive level, ensuring the translation of priorities into executed deliverables.
* You must have, or be able to obtain, a Department for Human Services issued Working with Children Check.
Qualifications – Desirable
* A postgraduate qualification in an appropriate discipline desirable or relevant experience. This could include education leadership, wellbeing, vocational education, or workforce development.
Special Conditions
* The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
* The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN – EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
STL3 $147,851 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
