 
        
        Executive Manager Procurement, Business Technology 
The Executive Manager, Business Technology is a senior leadership role within the Technology Procurement team which is part of the Group Procurement function in CBA. Reporting into the Head of Technology Procurement, you will lead a team of nine located in Australia and India and will be responsible for leading a team to deliver strategic and operational procurement outcomes for the Bank’s customer-facing business units: Retail Bank, Business Bank, and Institutional Bank. This role oversees the end-to-end Source to Contract process, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks, and delivery of commercial value. 
Key Responsibilities 
- Leadership & Strategy 
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of procurement professionals focused on business technology sourcing. 
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Retail, Business, and Institutional Banking to understand technology needs and translate them into sourcing strategies. 
- Contribute to the broader Technology Procurement strategy and governance frameworks. 
- Procurement Delivery 
- Manage the full Source to Contract lifecycle, including market engagement, RFP/RFI processes, negotiation, contracting, and supplier onboarding. 
- Drive commercial outcomes through effective sourcing strategies, cost optimisation, and value creation. 
- Ensure procurement activities are aligned with enterprise risk, legal, and compliance requirements. 
- Stakeholder Engagement 
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business unit CIOs and leaders, and risk partners. 
- Act as a trusted advisor on technology procurement matters, influencing decision-making and strategic direction. 
- Supplier & Contract Management 
- Support supplier selection and performance management in collaboration with business units and vendor management teams. 
- Ensure contracts are structured to support innovation, scalability, and risk mitigation. 
- Continuous Improvement 
- Champion process improvement, automation, and digital enablement within the Source to Contract process. 
- Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies and innovation opportunities. 
Key Capabilities & Experience 
- Proven experience in leading technology procurement teams within large, complex organisations. 
- Deep understanding of sourcing and contracting for technology products and services, including software, platforms, infrastructure, and digital solutions. 
- Robust commercial acumen and negotiation skills. 
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders. 
- Familiarity with regulatory and risk frameworks relevant to financial services procurement. 
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications 
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Technology, Law, or a related discipline desirable. 
- Relevant certifications in procurement, contract management, or project management (e.g., MCIPS, PMP) desirable.
