Overview
Thomas Bros is looking for a Finance & Insurance Sales Consultant to join our Sales Department and play a key role in helping our customers drive away in their new vehicles with the right finance and insurance solutions.
About the role
Reporting to the General Sales Manager, you will:
* Prepare and submit accurate, complete finance applications.
* Present and explain finance, warranty and insurance products, tailoring solutions to customer needs, budget and risk profile.
* Generate and present MVI and other insurance quotes on all eligible deals.
* Arrange and maintain insurance policies and renewals.
* Monitor each customer's finance and insurance application, providing regular updates to customers and sales staff until settlement.
* Work closely with the Sales Team to structure deals, support negotiations and ensure a seamless handover from vehicle sale to finance and insurance delivery.
* Maintain high standards of documentation, file notes and record keeping to support compliance, audit and dispute resolution.
* Achieve agreed KPIs including finance share, MVI quote rate, product conversion, processing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm, and Saturday 8:30am - 1:00pm.
About you
You will be a customer-focused finance or insurance professional who enjoys a fast-paced dealership environment and working as part of a close-knit team. You will bring:
* Strong sales/customer services experience with the ability to step into F&I.
* Strong product and regulatory knowledge, or the ability to quickly gain accreditation and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and lender policies.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in plain language and build rapport with a diverse customer base.
* High attention to detail, accuracy in documentation and confidence working with multiple systems.
* Strong time management skills, able to manage multiple deals at once and meet tight deadlines.
* A high level of integrity and commitment to compliance, with a focus on doing the right thing for the customer and the dealership.
