The Role

Harrisdale SHS is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Technologies teacher to join our collaborative Technologies Learning Area. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a thriving, fast‐growing school that values innovation, practical skill development, and high‐quality teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will teach across the Design and Technologies curriculum, with a focus on workshop‐based learning in Metals, Wood, and Engineering contexts. Experience teaching Senior School courses such as Materials Design and Technology (Wood and/or Metal) is highly regarded. The ability to deliver Certificate II in Engineering is desirable, though not essential.

Harrisdale SHS offers well‐equipped workshop facilities that support safe, engaging, and industry‐aligned practical learning. You will work with a collaborative and supportive team of Technologies teachers committed to developing students' problem‐solving, technical proficiency, and design thinking through authentic, hands‐on learning experiences.

Teaching staff are provided with a laptop and benefit from strong professional support, mentoring, and opportunities for professional learning and career development. We provide support for teachers at all career stages, including a robust graduate and mentor programme for pre‐service and early‐career teachers, plus ongoing development and leadership opportunities for experienced educators.

Ideal candidate:
