Job Description Key Accountabilities:Manage the general wellbeing of the dogs by feeding, watering, toileting, bathing, and grooming.Ensure the safe transportation of dogs to puppy raisers, trainers, clients, GDMI's, and PDA's.Assist with veterinary care of dogs through managing and implementing health treatment plans.Implement dog handling techniques and supervise the general behavior of kennelled dogs, including noise prevention.Maintain accurate health records of individual dogs while they are in the kennels.Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all kennel areas and associated equipment according to policy and procedures.Promote a positive and calm kennel environment to keep the dogs quiet and relaxed.Demonstrate experience in kennel management, good dog handling skills, and effective leadership and control over dogs.Handle dogs of all ages and training levels competently.Show enthusiasm, energy, and initiative, while working under direction.Hold a driver's license recognized in NSW to transport dogs.Benefits that Guide Dogs offer:As a member of the Guide Dogs team, you will have access to a wide range of benefits tailored to your needs.EAP - Support through Employee Assistance Program counselling sessions.Employee benefits and Reward and Recognition programs.Be part of an organization that makes a meaningful and positive impact on society.Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is proud to be an inclusive workplace that reflects our clients and the broader community.
