OverviewWe are currently looking for a Senior GMP Production Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical CDMO based in the South West of the UK to join their team.Our client specialises in GMP manufacturing of advanced therapy and biologic products.
As a Senior GMP Production Scientist, you will take the lead in supervising GMP manufacturing operations for a range of clinical products.
This includes overseeing production teams, supporting technology transfer, and ensuring compliance across ATMP and biologics projects.ResponsibilitiesSupervise GMP cleanroom production operations, lead tech transfer activities from process development, and manage production planning for a variety of ATMP clinical productsEnsure manufacturing activities follow GMP and Product Specification Files, supporting material specification, closed processing, purification, and fill/finish operations up to 400L scaleManage documentation generation, including SOPs and batch records, and lead data collation for clinical trial regulatory submissionsDeliver training and mentoring for production teams, maintain compliance with safety procedures, and support internal and client-facing project meetingsRole RequirementsA Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences / Bioprocessing / Pharmaceutical Engineering).
Extensive experience operating in GMP environments for ATMP or biologics manufacturingStrong knowledge of GMP compliance and cleanroom production, with experience in one or more of the following: mammalian cell culture, downstream purification, aseptic fill/finish, or multi-product GMP facilitiesProven experience supervising teams, coordinating schedules, managing deviations and change controls, and supporting tech transfer and regulatory documentationWhat's in it for you?
