**Field Service Technician**:

Join us as Field Service Technician where you will be executing service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Delivering excellent customer service to satisfy customers. In close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB in Electrification Business Area. Reporting to NSW/QLD Field Service Manager and you will be ideally based in Eagle Farm, Australia
**Your responsibilities**:
- Performing service tasks, identifying technical problems, and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.)
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs. Identifying new sales opportunities and communicates them internally
- Coordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available for service activities
- Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Making sure that reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
- Proactively identifying potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
- Proactively identifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicates them further in the ABB organization. Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service
- Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are always followed including the wearing and maintenance of assigned personal protective equipment attendance at required health, safety and environment training, reporting injury, incidents, hazards, and near miss events Managing safe work behaviors in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk controls
**Your background**:
- Minimum 4 years industry experience preferably with switchgear
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering - Electrical or similar
- Electrical License mandatory for this role
- Knowledge of Electrical testing fundamentals is an added advantage
- Previous experience in power system electrical engineering modelling and design procedures
- Experience with commissioning testing and of protection relays using Omicron CMC
- Computer literate being familiar with Microsoft and Windows
- Ability to amicably negotiate and provide good customer service
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Interpretation of Electrical drawings and clear communications is plus
- Ability to think wider to gain improvements
