About the Role
In this role, you’ll be the strategic lead behind face-to-face events and activations across Australia. From concept to execution, you’ll guide and oversee a high-performing team, manage key client relationships, and ensure every event delivers on brand, experience, and commercial outcomes.
Please note this is a 12 month opportunity with the likelihood of extension.
You will
* Manage and nurture strong relationships with Optus stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
* Assess briefs and work closely with the Account Management team on planning and delivery.
* Oversee and maintain high standards across all event documentation and workflows.
* Support state-based teams to drive performance, development, and ongoing improvement.
* Recommend and manage event assets, collateral and brand activations.
* Be on-site where required to support setup (bump-in), event delivery and pack-down.
* Lead project governance across:
* Budgeting, reconciliation & financial reporting
* WIPs, post-event reports & quarterly reviews
* Risk management and vendor/contract oversight
About You
You’re a confident leader who thrives in live environments where no two days are the same. You’re commercially‑minded, people‑focused, and experienced in delivering complex, high‑impact events.
You’ll Bring
* 5+ years’ experience across account management, event production or experiential marketing
* Strong project leadership skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities confidently
* A collaborative approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong organisational, financial and administrative capability
* Ability to influence, negotiate and solve problems on the fly
* Telco experience is a bonus (but not essential!)
