About the role: Victoria Police has a role to uphold the law to promote a safe, secure and orderly society. Victoria Police provides frontline policing services to the Victorian community across 54 Police Service Areas, within 21 divisions and four regions. Professional Standards Command's role is to support and promote a culture of high ethical standards throughout Victoria Police. This is critical for many reasons, but primarily:​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ * To maintain community trust and confidence and ensure that Victoria Police can continue to serve the community and uphold the law. * To maintain the ethical health of the workforce and reduce ethical risks and workplace harm, thus contributing to workforce performance and pride. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements. Your duties will include: * Processing of incoming and outgoing briefs of evidence and routine correspondence including quality control and processing of urgent and complex court documents. * Issuing, updating, completing, and archiving of confidential records and accountable documents in a timely manner. * Providing high level administrative support including banking, filing & general office duties as needed or directed. * Providing advice on a range of Police administration matters. * Undertaking a range of functions around the receipt, management, and disposal of lost or seized property items in accordance with Victoria Police policy and relevant legislation * Performing of secretariat roles including setting agendas, calendar invites and taking of meeting minutes. About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Experience in performing a range of administrative support duties including the preparation of reports and correspondence, minute taking. * Customer service experience, a demonstrated commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs. * Computer literacy skills, such as proficiency in operating Microsoft and Windows based applications, databases, and spreadsheets. * The ability to function within a team environment and deal appropriately with sensitive and highly confidential information and issues. * Well-developed Communication and interpersonal skills. Further Information: * One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available. * This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. * The successful applicant will be required to achieve and maintain Baseline - National Security Vetting.
