This is a broad and important role supporting payroll, accounts, reporting, compliance and financial administration across the organisation. It would suit someone who enjoys accuracy, structure, problem solving and working with people.
The right person will be confident with numbers, payroll processes, financial systems and Excel. You will also be comfortable working with deadlines, compliance requirements, reporting templates and documentation that supports government funded programs, tenders and grants.

About the role
As the Accounts & Payroll Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of CCGT and ensuring payroll, compliance and accounts processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
You will work closely with management and internal stakeholders across a wide range of finance, payroll and administration functions. You will also contribute to continuous improvement, financial reporting and the preparation of information for tenders, grants, acquittals and compliance requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, communicates confidently and is proactive in identifying improvements and efficiencies.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Manage payroll processing and associated legislative requirements
* Support payroll compliance, including modern award updates and employee related obligations
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
* Assist with budgeting, reporting and financial administration
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations and reporting data
* Support the preparation of financial information for tenders, grants, funding submissions, acquittals and compliance reporting
* Assist with audit preparation and compliance requirements
* Manage workers compensation claims and related processes
* Maintain data integrity across financial systems and internal databases
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Provide professional customer service and administrative support
* Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiencies
* Support organisational events, networking activities and promotions as required
About you
We are looking for someone who brings both technical capability and the right attitude to our team.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in payroll, accounts, bookkeeping, finance administration or a similar role
* A strong understanding of payroll compliance, financial processes, record keeping and award interpretation
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas, filters, reconciliations, reporting templates and financial data
* The ability to work accurately with complex spreadsheets, budgets, costing information and compliance documentation
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* High levels of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity
* A proactive, motivated and team oriented approach
* Confidence using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Outlook
Qualifications and experience
The following will be highly regarded:
* Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, Payroll, Business Administration or a related field
* Experience using accounting or payroll software systems
* Experience using online timesheet or workforce management systems
* Experience interpreting and applying multiple modern awards, pay conditions or employment instruments
* Experience supporting tenders, grants, acquittals, funding submissions or government reporting
* Experience in a not for profit, employment services, education, training, government funded or compliance focused environment
A current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one, will be required.
