About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Finance Manager overseeing the accounting department and with a strong business analysis and sales performance focus, capable of supporting strategic decisions across diverse global markets while maintaining robust financial control and compliance. Based out of our brand-new Port Melbourne facility, this role suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, operations, and commercial strategy in a complex, international environment.
Responsibilities
* Financial Control & Group Reporting
* Lead daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual multi-entity, multi-currency operations
* Prepare consolidated management accounts, board packs, and financial analysis
* Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of group financial reporting
* Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and governance frameworks
Business Analysis & Commercial Partnering
* Act as a finance business partner to sales, operations, and senior management
* Provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions across global markets
* Develop financial models for new products, markets, customers, and channel expansion
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range business planning
Sales Performance & Market Analysis (Global)
* Analyse sales performance by region, by customer, by category, and by SKU
* Track revenue growth, pricing effectiveness, rebates, discounts, and customer profitability
* Support regional sales teams with margin analysis, forecasts, and commercial insights
* Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across different market structures
Cost, Margin & Manufacturing Analysis
* Oversee cost accounting, BOMs, standard costing, and landed-cost calculations
* Analyse manufacturing costs across Vietnam, Mexico, and external suppliers
* Monitor margin performance by product, factory, and market
Tax, Compliance & Audit
* Coordinate statutory reporting, audits, and local compliance across jurisdictions
* Oversee GST / VAT / sales tax processes with external advisors
* Support transfer-pricing analysis, inter-company transactions, and documentation
* Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and group policies
Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital
* Manage group cash-flow forecasting and working-capital optimisation
* Oversee FX exposure, inter-company balances, and funding flows
Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement
* Enhance ERP, reporting tools, and dashboards for financial and commercial analysis
* Improve data visibility across sales, manufacturing, and supply chain
* Build scalable finance processes to support continued global expansion
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
Qualifications
* CPA / CA qualified (or equivalent)
* 12+ years' experience in financial control, business analysis, or commercial finance
* Strong background in manufacturing, wholesale, FMCG, or consumer products
* Proven experience working with multi-entity, multi-currency international groups
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into commercial insights
* Solid understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and global supply chains
* Advanced Excel and ERP experience (Pronto highly desirable, NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, or similar)
* Confident communicator able to partner with sales, operations, and senior leadership
