The Finance and Administration Officer provides comprehensive financial and administrative support to a contemporary and fast-paced Marketing, Media & Communications unit at Charles Darwin University
About the Position
The role is responsible for managing MMC's financial administration, supporting efficient office operations, and providing administrative support to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and Managers within the portfolio.
This position operates with a high degree of autonomy, initiative and discretion, requiring excellent organisational skills, strong financial and procurement acumen, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
Essential
* Completion of a Certificate IV with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Demonstrated high-level understanding of financial administration, including budgeting, invoicing, reconciliation and expenditure reporting.
* Proven high-level administrative skills, including diary management, meeting coordination, correspondence preparation and records management.
* Demonstrated experience providing senior-level support in a complex organisational environment.
* Proven ability to deliver professional, responsive and client-focused service.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Demonstrated experience using financial systems, or the ability to rapidly acquire this capability.
* Commitment to the University's values.
Desirable
* Experience working in a higher education, public sector or large complex organisation.
* Experience supporting management in a governance-focused environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 5/6. The base salary will be in the range of $75,927 - $95,375 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $88,834 - $111,588 per annum inclusive of 17% superannuation.
