Join Hearing Australia as an Audiologist to support and empower clients across Queensland.
You will assess auditory problems, provide rehabilitative support, and work in a client-centred environment while meeting revenue targets.
Job Details
• Location: Brisbane and wider Queensland (FIFO rotation – 2 weeks in Brisbane, 2 weeks traveling across provincial hearing centres from Cairns to Bundaberg)
• Travel: Generous allowance, flights & accommodation provided while travelling
• Employment: Permanent, full-time
• Schedule: Nine-day fortnight and other flexible arrangements, with retention program potentially on offer
Responsibilities
Assess the auditory problems of non-complex adult clients using Australian Hearing practice methods and standards
Provide rehabilitative support – fitting hearing aids, assistive listening devices, personal amplification devices, accessories and/or communication strategies
Refer clients to other professionals or seek guidance from senior audiologists as necessary
Provide services at visiting sites and home visits
Liaise with NDIS representatives, allied health and support agencies, and families/carers to ensure best practice outcomes
Undertake marketing and public-relations activities in the community as required
Deliver excellent customer service, manage client load and meet revenue targets
Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Audiology
Full and current membership with the Audiology Society of Australia
Sound knowledge of clinical audiology and procedures in accordance with Australian Audiology standards
Sound knowledge of the Hearing Services Program
Exposure to the NDIA scheme
Willingness and flexibility to travel to other locations for clinical work
Ability to support business changes to clinical practice, products and policies
