Sanctuary Cove Licensed Post Office and Newsagency is located one of the best locations in Australia. It caters to the postal and retail requirements of both Australians and international visitors. Sanctuary LPO is an independently owned Post Office, under new management and has an exciting opportunity for new team members, working behind the counter as a Retail Customer Services Officer. While prior experience in a similar role is preferred. We offer on-the-job training, supervision, and support. The candidate should work effectively as part of a growing team. Position: Newsagent Sales
Job Description:
We are:
Monday - Saturday
Open 9am to 5pm
Closed Public Holidays
Sell Lottery Products, Go Cards, Gifting and Newsagent lines.
$33.19 an hour - Casual
Qualifications
* Newsagent experience preferred
* Being a friendly, considerate person with a real passion for great customer service
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy packages 16KG.
* Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service and solutions to our customers
* Police clearance will be required to work in this role.
* Looking for a long-term position
* You are willing to learn new skills or expand your current skill-set with further training and development
Tasks & responsibilities
* Performing customer sales and service transactions with individual and business customers
* Managing & maintaining high value transactions accurately – which includes handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS
* Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
* Promoting and processing a broad range of financial agency transactions through Australia Post's technology systems
* Accepting mail items for lodgement, and accurately assessing any applicable charges
* Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
* Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
* Assist with the provision of on-the-job training to new employees where required
* Preparing outward mail for dispatch – including presentation and the cancelling of stamps
* Receiving & Sorting Incoming Mail, including delivery to post office boxes; Other duties as directed.
