Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to fast track and develop your IT career.
It starts with 8 weeks of dedicated training focused on mainframe technologies. This technical infrastructure will continue to support mission critical environments including hospitals, travel, and banking for a long time to come.
Over 12 months you'll continue to develop your skills and experience while making a key contribution in support of DXC and their clients.
On completion of 12 months you'll have access to long term career pathways with DXC Technology.
What experience and mindset do you need to be considered?
* Ideally some IT accreditations and qualification. That might be a completed or partially completed degree, a diploma, or some entry level IT support qualifications.
* You might have work experience in entry level IT roles including – helpdesk, system administration, IT technician or IT Support roles.
* Communication with customers and colleagues is a key part of this role. So comfort communicating, listening, and collaborating is a must.
* You might be at the start of your career, but you also might be making a career change later in life.
* You need to be curious and be able to encounter unfamiliar technologies, applications, and situations, figure them out, and provide solutions that match both our clients' and our company's needs
* You need to be organized and dependable.
