We're seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to join our team in Victoria's Hume region. As a key member of our Road Maintenance Contact, you'll play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring internal stakeholders across multiple sites.
This dynamic position will be based out of Wangaratta, with opportunities for site-based and office work. You'll be responsible for bringing people together to achieve our safety objectives while driving innovation within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders to maintain strong relationships with operational and management personnel, focusing on zero-harm outcomes.
* Evaluate and implement Zero Harm policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
* Develop and drive proactive safety awareness programs to promote improvement plans.
* Think strategically, considering corporate and local objectives/drivers.
* Conduct audits, investigate safety issues, and assist in developing improvement plans based on findings.
* Prior experience in managing return-to-work programs in consultation with line management and liaison with Injury Management Teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence at various business levels.
* Strong computer and data analysis skills for report collation and presentation.
