Job Overview We are seeking a talented Desktop and Network Support Field Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. This is a mid-level, contract position designed for individuals with up to 6 years of experience. As a key player within our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to a varied client base, ensuring their IT infrastructure is resilient, secure, and efficiently managed. Your role will involve frequent travel, offering on-site technical support across our service areas. Qualifications and Skills Proficient with mobile device management, ensuring seamless integration and operation of mobile devices within enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of Active Directory for user account management, ensuring secure and organized directory structures. Comprehensive understanding of Windows OS, adept at configuring and troubleshooting across various versions. Experience in Office 365 management, focusing on deployment, troubleshooting, and optimizing user applications. Hands-on experience with network configuration, able to set up and manage network equipment and resolve connectivity issues. Advanced troubleshooting skills for desktop and network environments, diagnosing a wide array of technical issues. Proficiency in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for deploying and managing devices and applications. Imaging (Mandatory skill): Expertise in creating and deploying system images for consistent and efficient device setups. Roles and Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly. Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades on desktops, servers, and network infrastructure. Collaborate with clients to understand their IT requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Manage and support the implementation of new technologies within client infrastructures. Document and report on system performance, providing recommendations for improvements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in delivering comprehensive IT services. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements to provide innovative support.
