Supporting Survivors of Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional to join our team as an Intake Coordinator. This vital role plays a critical part in guiding women affected by trauma towards resources and services that meet their needs.
As an Intake Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for clients seeking help. You will conduct thorough risk assessments, develop action plans, and provide supportive relationships with clients. Your skills and experience will enable you to identify clients in crisis and coordinate immediate interventions or referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop tailored action plans to address client needs.
• Screen and assess client needs via phone and online inquiries, prioritize cases, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Identify clients in crisis and coordinate immediate interventions or referrals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless support for clients.
• Advocate for clients, fostering positive relationships with other agencies and support services.
• Maintain confidential records of client assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, community services, or a related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in conducting intake assessments and supporting survivors of trauma.
• Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices for domestic, family, and sexual violence.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management software.
Mandatory Requirements:
