Overview
The Senior Account Director is responsible for driving revenue growth for existing and new accounts for all products. This individual contributor position leads the strategic execution of account plans, manages the end-to-end sales cycle, and coordinates internal expertise to deliver on and grow accounts. Success is measured by increasing product usage among existing customers, moving customers to the Diligent One Platform, and selling the Diligent One Platform to new customers.
Responsibilities
- Proactively build and maintain deep knowledge of Diligent’s products, solutions, strategy and business priorities.
- Prospect new and existing business within designated verticals/territories for larger, complex accounts with longer sales cycles.
- Provide coaching, guidance and support to sales stakeholders to enable best practices.
- Adopt a solutions-selling approach, understanding customer needs and developing solutions through the Diligent One Platform.
- Leverage strategic, industry-focused insights to create long-term competitive advantage for the customer.
- Expand strategic customer relationships to drive growth across the organization.
- Gather feedback on additional needs, products, and features, collaborating with product management and product marketing to drive changes.
- Lead strategic execution on account plans to drive business outcomes and generate new business and upsells.
- Coordinate a cross-functional team to execute account plans and ensure accountability.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from prospect to deal close using the Diligent sales methodology.
- Utilize sales tools to prospect, schedule meetings, increase win rates and generate bookings.
- Accurately maintain SFDC records, forecast and report on projected bookings and deals closed.
Qualifications
- 15+ years proven track record of success in account management and achieving revenue targets within technology or the GRC industry.
- Deep understanding of the competitor landscape and customers’ business strategy.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Continuous learning and knowledge of internal products and external industry trends.
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
