About The BUSY School…
The BUSY School is part of The BUSY Group, a not-for-profit organisation presenting over 47 years as a community partner providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, Inclusive Employment Australia, and allied health services.
The BUSY School is an independent Special Assistance School with 10 campuses across Cairns, Townsville, Strathpine, Brisbane, Gold Coast/Coolangatta and New Zealand, providing an alternative program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education. Our program has expanded to include The BUSY School Online (TBSO) offering flexible access to our program for all students across Queensland.
Each campus provides a supportive and safe learning environment for young people by providing them with an education program that includes vocational education and training (VET), work experience and opportunities for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Our team support the students to gain employability and transferability skills to increases their sense of wellbeing, resilience, belonging, academic achievement, career exploration and employment outcomes.
Our teams' focus is centred at re-engaging our students to learn, remain eligible for a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and gain employment or further training outcomes upon student's graduation from Year 12.

A bit about the role…
This isn't your everyday EA role We are seeking a charismatic, organised and excellent communicator for a prominent position working alongside the Director and central leadership team in a very dynamic environment. At The BUSY Schools we care about quality, and we care about our students. We are hardworking, dynamic and fun. Some days we are thrown a curve ball but together we get in and get the job done with a smile. You will need superior organisational skills to provide coordination of BUSY Schools projects, group reporting needs, grant writing, and regulatory submissions.
Highly accomplished written and verbal communications will be required to manage systems, reporting, governance and projects across the Schools network and assist the Director with relationship management of various stakeholders internally and externally. You'll also need some serious wrangling skills, attention to detail and a sense of humour to provide broad administrative support to the Director.
The objective is for our team to feel they can always pick up the phone to you with the confidence you will point them in the right direction with sound advice.
An everyday might include some of the below tasks:
* Inbox management/support including responding to correspondence, email prioritisation and flagging important items for critical review
* Manage the Director's calendar, priorities, correspondence, and follow-ups with sound judgement and discretion
* Prepare executive briefings, reports, presentations, and high-quality documentation
* Coordinate travel, meetings, and complex logistics in a fast-paced environment
* Coordinate Central Leadership Meetings, agendas, minutes, and action tracking
* Support leaders with administration, reporting, and cross-team coordination
* Strengthen communication and accountability across organisational projects

Skills And Experiences
A bit about your experience…
* Experience in similar role supporting governance and executive management;
* Proven project coordinator skills;
* Highly developed analysis and problem solving skills;
* Experience in working with corporate information management systems;
* High level oral and written communication skills including proficiency in report / submission writing and other documentation for compliance and corporate governance recording keeping;
