About the Role
* We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain secure and efficient data pipelines using Talend. This individual will ensure alignment with government data standards and compliance requirements.
* Key responsibilities include supporting the integration of data from multiple internal and external sources into centralised platforms to enable evidence-based decision-making.
* Success in this role requires deploying, monitoring and maintaining ETL workflows within AWS cloud environments, leveraging services such as S3, Lambda and Glue in accordance with government cloud policy.
* The ideal candidate will implement rigorous data quality, validation and governance controls, ensuring integrity, traceability and auditability of all data processes.
* This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including data architects, business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
* A key aspect of this role is contributing to the automation of data ingestion and transformation processes to support reporting, analytics and regulatory compliance activities.
* The selected candidate must ensure secure handling of sensitive and confidential data in line with government privacy and cybersecurity frameworks.
* Maintaining clear and comprehensive technical documentation of ETL processes, configurations and data flows is also an essential responsibility.
