Role Details: Flexible Contracts Available Now
We are recruiting for multiple full-time and part-time equivalent roles.
* Contract Length: Flexible Contracts range from short-term holiday cover (4-5 weeks) to standard 12-week placements with the potential for extension.
* Start Date: Immediate Starts Available (ASAP) — Secure roles in November, December, January, and February 2026.
* Hours: Multiple contracts available up to 0.84 FTE or 80 hours per fortnight, including full-time equivalent work.
* Rosters: Rotating rosters are standard, including Morning, Late, Night shifts, Weekends, and On-Call requirements.
What We're Looking For (Essential Skills & Experience)
We require experienced Registered Midwives with current AHPRA registration and a passion for providing exceptional care.
Core Requirements (Applicable to all roles):
* Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Midwife.
* Experience across all areas of Midwifery (Antenatal, Birth Suite, Postnatal, Outpatients) is highly valued.
* Ability to adapt quickly to new teams and local policies.
* Ability to work a rotating roster including night duty.

Key Requirements & Experience
Portland, VIC
Dual Registered Midwife (Highly desired). FSEP Level 3 Practitioner. Must be confident working largely autonomously on shift (1 Midwife rostered per shift) while being supported by an on-call model for births. Experience in a low-risk Level 2 facility is beneficial.
Launceston, TAS
Minimum 8 years' experience to support junior workforce. Must have completed minimum two 12-week contracts at LGH in the last 2 years (for fast-tracked orientation). Strong experience across all areas of Midwifery, especially Birth Suite.
Hobart, TAS
Experience across Inpatient Maternity (Birth, Post-Natal, Antenatal). Ability to start ASAP and cover the busy holiday period.
What's On Offer (Your Remuneration & Benefits)
* High Pay: Competitive Pay Rates starting between $78 - $80 per hour (AM shift) + applicable shift penalties + Superannuation.
* Accommodation Support:
* Portland, VIC: Free accommodation available.
* Short-Term TAS Roles (Nov/Dec): Free accommodation provided OR an allowance of $450 per week if you choose to source your own (ABN/Receipt required).
* Hobart, TAS: Allowance of $450 per week towards self-sourced accommodation (Receipt required).
* Travel: Travel reimbursement available, pending the length of the contract.
Locations, Skill Development & Facility Insights
* Location: Immediate bookings in Portland (Regional VIC), Hobart (TAS), and Launceston (TAS). Inquire about current vacancies in Bairnsdale VIC, Sale VIC, ACT, NT, WA, and QLD
* Facility Insight (Portland, VIC): Work in a small, supportive team (8 Midwives, 1 Obs, 1 Paed) at a low-risk Level 2 facility births/year). This role offers excellent experience in outpatients (high-risk transfers) and developing autonomous on-shift decision-making with on-call support.
* Skill Development: Opportunity to utilise and maintain your FSEP Level 3 status and gain exposure to varied acuity levels across regional and metropolitan maternity units.
