The key duties of the position include The Role The APS4/5 Cyber Operation Coordinator role is responsible to the Operations Warrant Officer, for the directorate's workload relating to the coordination of tasking and the oversight of whole of directorate personnel structure. This role will focus primarily on the personnel, financing and logistics of the Defence Security Operations Centre. Duties include: Contributing to the effective operation of the Defence Security Operation Centre (DSOC); Managing, coordinating and uplifting work take-on and task tracking for DSOC; Managing recruitment activities and human resource administration throughout the directorate; Coordinating training and upskilling of the directorate according to relevant roles and responsibilities; Coordinating personnel to support cyber task requests through Cyber Forces Group; Understanding roles and responsibilities within the directorate to ensure effective coordination responses from the directorate; Supporting DSOC external engagements, forums and working groups; Managing and coordinating financial and logistical support for DSOC; Administering travel and expenses for DSOC; Responsibility for Information Management as the Directorate's Objective Workgroup Coordinator. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
