* Location: Office based (Canberra) or working remotely (from home) within Australia
* Employment type: Fixed term contract, 12 months 0.6-0.8 FTE
* Commencement Date: June 2026
* Position Classification: Level 4/5 – SCHADS Award 2010
* Reports to: National Programs Manager, Hepatitis Australia
Background

Hepatitis Australia leads Australia’s efforts to eliminate hepatitis B and hepatitis C. We are a non-government, not-for-profit and non-partisan community organisation. Our members are the eight leading state and territory hepatitis organisations.

Our vision is to eliminate viral hepatitis for all. the elimination of viral hepatitis in Australia. Our goals are:

* eliminate viral hepatitis
* minimise the transmission of viral hepatitis
* maximise the health and social outcomes for people with viral hepatitis
* contribution to similar goals within the Asia/Pacific Region and globally.

About the role

As a Projects Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting successful delivery of multiple programs and activities across the organisation. This position requires strong proficiency in program management, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to support cross-functional teams.

You will:

* Provide Secretariat and administrative support for the HepLink Program.
* Support the delivery of programs ensuring that all programs meet performance targets, governance, compliance and reporting requirements.
* Undertake administrative support for Hepatitis Australia’s overarching grant management and contribute to other grant applications.

This role is ideal for a skilled, results driven coordinator who thrives on organised, systematic project/program delivery and wants to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with:

* Tertiary qualification in public health, project management, social sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Sound secretariat skills.
* Experience in administering grant application including research and data collection.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Team collaborator with adaptability in supporting colleagues and responding to emerging priorities
* An understanding of contractual and compliance and delivery requirements.
* Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of viral hepatitis.
