THE ROLE The Policy Officer is responsible for supporting strategic projects relating to the work of the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) portfolio managed by Disability Homes Victoria. The Policy Officer will work within a team to support projects that seek to ensure that the Department's SDA offering best meets the needs and preferences of eligible NDIS participants. The role includes supporting business planning and governance functions through secretariate functions. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE * Contribute to the development and provision of advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues as a critical input to support Disability Homes Victoria policy priorities. * Undertake research and contribute to strategies and engagement plans to support the growth and renewal of government-owned SDA and support their implementation including through engagement with key stakeholders and support for senior executives. * Assist the monitoring and reporting on high priority issues, risks and trends and assist to prepare and present comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex issues.
