* You will be required to work across the Sunshine Coast up to Gympie, and at times will be asked to facilitate coaching groups outside of business hours with planning and preparation.
About the opportunity
Facilitated coaching is a one-to-one service that is carer led and directed. The coaching service aims to support carers to increase their individual agency, empowering them to find practical, small steps towards self-identified goals. It involves the carer engaging with a coach to assist them to acquire skills and resilience to help them sustain their caring role.
You will be facilitating one-one-one and group coaching to carers, whilst creating an environment Carers will find welcoming, real and empowering. Ensuring relationships with Carers are positive and are built on Wellways values as well as engaging professionally and positively with key external and internal stakeholders.
Community engagement/ networking and establishing referral pathways will be a key aspect of this role and you will work autonomously while being a supportive and flexible team member.
Reporting to the Carer Coaching and In-person Peer Support Coordinator, the Carer Gateway Coach will be responsible for:
* Facilitating the program in accordance with training and the Facilitated Coaching Service Guidelines
* Facilitate one-one-one and group coaching to carers, to provide opportunities for carers to gain and practice skills, as well as contribute toward the program's required KPI's
* Creating an environment Carers will find welcoming, real and empowering
* Ensure relationships with Carers are positive and are built on Wellways values
* Engaging professionally and positively with key external and internal stakeholders
* Community engagement/ networking and establishing referral pathways
* To work autonomously while also being a supportive and flexible team member
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum Diploma in Coaching, Counselling, Community Services or related field
* Right to work within Australia
* Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (free online course)
* Satisfactory National Police Records Check
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children's Check (Employee/Paid)
