Our is a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary contractor delivering projects across civil infrastructure, renewable energy, and telecommunications. With a strong pipeline spanning substations, renewable developments, tower construction, and greenfield projects, their entering a critical growth phase — and we're looking for a Senior Estimator to help drive it.
This is more than a traditional estimating role. You'll work closely with senior leadership to shape tender strategy, identify new opportunities, and play a key role in securing projects that define the next stage of our growth.
The Opportunity
This is a hybrid position combining:
* Senior Estimating
* Bid Strategy
* Business Development
You'll take ownership of both the numbers and the strategy behind them — engaging early with clients, influencing project selection, and positioning the business to win.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end estimating across civil, substations, renewables, telecommunications towers, and greenfield projects
* Identify and pursue new project opportunities through market engagement and industry networks
* Prepare accurate, commercially competitive tenders and submissions
* Manage subcontractor and supplier engagement to optimise pricing and delivery
* Review drawings, specifications, scopes, and contract documentation
* Conduct site inspections and assess project risks and opportunities
* Identify value engineering opportunities to strengthen bids
* Collaborate with leadership on bid strategy and project selection
* Contribute to business development and pipeline growth
* Build and maintain strong client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships
* Support project handover and provide commercial insight during delivery
About You
* Experienced Senior Estimator with exposure to civil infrastructure, renewables, substations, or telecommunications
* Strong understanding of how to win work — not just price it
* Commercially driven with strong negotiation and analytical skills
* Confident engaging with clients and operating at a senior level
* High attention to detail and ability to manage complex bids
* Self-starter who takes ownership and works autonomously
* Ideally brings an existing network across contractors, developers, or asset owners
