About the Role

Engineer or Technical Officer to join the Perth Bridges team – responsible for planning and delivering bridge and infrastructure asset inspections.

Responsibilities

* Conduct detailed structural inspections and on-site condition assessments of bridges and other infrastructure assets for private owners, contractors and state government agencies.
* Prepare inspection reports and related assessment documentation within project timeframes and budgets.
* Assist senior team members with project proposals and management of small projects.
* Support project development and planning, including inspection programmes, access techniques, inspection methodologies, safety planning and travel/accommodation requirements.
* Operate access equipment such as elevated work platforms.
* Liaise with subcontractors to organise traffic management, rail protection/access, and specialist access providers.

Qualifications

* Engineering degree or advanced diploma, with relevant experience in bridge/infrastructure asset inspections.
* Main Roads WA Level2 Bridge Inspection accreditation, ARRB Level2 or similar formal training (highly desirable).
* Current "C" class driver's licence.
* Working at Heights, High Risk Licence (WP), Construction White Card, First Aid Certificate and other related training (training provided).
* Strong attention to detail, good report-writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Flexibility to travel and work remotely as required.
* Willingness to undertake night work, work at heights, in hot, cold, wet weather or other challenging conditions.
