Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$200,000.00/yr - A$215,000.00/yrLead a program of work designed to support the uplift the regulatory framework for electronic conveyancing of real property in AustraliaRemote role with some travel to Brisbane12 month fixed term contractSeeking experiencing with leading governance, regulatory and/or policy areasMost suitable for candidates with backgrounds from Australian regulatory bodies.Our client, a prominent Queensland-based company managing significant property data assets, is experiencing business growth and has created a new role reporting directly to an Executive Officer.This 12-month fixed contract position will lead a program of work designed to support the uplift the regulatory framework for electronic conveyancing (eConveyancing) of real property in Australia.The Senior Regulatory Lawyer will lead the assessment and review of the eConveyancing regulatory framework that applies to electronic conveyancing network operators. The role will involve:Recommending changes to ensure the framework operates effectively, efficiently and consistently in the current market.Reviewing the obligations imposed and ensure they are fit-for purpose and deliver the outcomes required.Reporting and regulator compliance monitoring and enforcement activities are appropriate and effective.Working with internal and external legal advisers and eConveyancing experts to identify key areas of risk or requiring improvement in the regulatory framework, and exercises judgment and skill in providing options and recommendations to stakeholders on how to effectively address those areas.Preparing briefing papers, consultation papers and advice to relevant stakeholders, including drafting proposed changes to regulation.The successful candidate will have a minimum eight (8) years post-admission experience, with several years’ experience in leading governance, regulatory and/or policy areas.This senior position will suit someone who can demonstrate their understanding of effective regulation and regulatory processes, including proven skills in drafting regulation and/or obligations, understanding compliance monitoring and reporting requirements, and an appreciation of enforcement options and activities.Apply today or contact Angela Grant at 0422 175 225 | angela@dayonerecruitment.com.au.Day One Recruitment is working with a range of in-house clients.
