The role
The Asset Systems Engineer plays an important role in ensuring that the management of Gippsland Water's assets align with regulations, by delivering a management system across all classes of infrastructure assets. The Asset Systems Engineer works closely with the Senior Asset Engineering Leader to integrate whole of life asset management principles across the organisation in collaboration with Asset Information and Asset Management teams. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality asset management that aligns with Gippsland Water's strategic objectives. You will use a combination of technical knowledge, experience and available resources to inform decision making in asset management and asset renewal.
What you'll bring
* A relevant tertiary engineering qualification, ideally with post graduate experience.
* Demonstrated experience in processes, systems and models for data analysis and reporting.
* An ability to convey and present technical information and advice in a practical manner that can be easily interpreted and understood.
* Detailed understanding of the different levels of service requirements of various asset classes.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with both office based and field staff to gain knowledge of system operation and requirements of asset performance.
* Sound decision making skills supported by accurate asset inventory, data collection and analysis.
* A commitment to best practice OHS principles.
