Senior Business Development Professional
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development Professional to join our expanding civil construction organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development across South Australia.
* Develop and implement effective business development strategies to generate leads and secure projects in the piling, ground engineering, and civil works sectors.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including contractors, developers, consultants, and asset owners.
* Collaborate with the estimating and engineering teams to prepare proposals, capability statements, and tender submissions.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure strategic positioning and representation at industry forums.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive business development efforts across South Australia, focusing on piling, shoring, retention systems, and ground improvement solutions.
* Build a sustainable pipeline of project opportunities across the infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and civil sectors.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers – including contractors, developers, consultants, and asset owners.
* Lead preparation of proposals, capability statements, and tender submissions, in collaboration with the estimating and engineering teams.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects to ensure strategic positioning.
* Represent the company at networking events, site meetings, and industry forums.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven track record in business development, estimating, or delivery within piling, ground engineering, or civil construction.
* Established network within the South Australian construction or infrastructure sectors.
* Technically savvy with a good understanding of geotechnical construction and ground engineering methods.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive and relationship-focused approach.
* Comfortable working autonomously in a regional office environment with national support.
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, or related field preferred but not essential.
