Role Description
This is an on-site role located in the Greater Perth Area for a Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining hygiene standards. They will supervise kitchen staff, order supplies, and ensure efficient kitchen operations to deliver high-quality meals. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain food quality and presentation, and manage kitchen safety and sanitation.
Qualifications
* Extensive culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
* Experience in menu planning and development, with a creative approach to food presentation
* Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safety
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are preferred
* Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment is beneficial
