OverviewAn exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse to join Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
The successful candidate will lead and deliver person-centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
The Clinical Nurse is expected to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making, with responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7.
There is an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.
Maleny is a rural area classified as a modified Monash Model 5, or Rural Hospital, located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, about 30 km from Caloundra beaches.
The role is referenced at Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.
We are a values-based organisation committed to treating colleagues, patients, consumers and the community with respect, and to protecting and promoting human rights in our decision-making and actions.Key ResponsibilitiesAdhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.Understand broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.Practice in accordance with the code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of position.Remuneration value up to $124 957 p.a., comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (part time position, 72 hrs p.f.).
