You will play a vital role in the administration of Councils Geographical Information System (GIS) and be the driver for technical development of the GIS for the business and our community. You will provide a stable GIS foundation providing the most up to date information, strong governance and guidelines, ongoing system support and development to enable staff to better perform their duties. Your key focus areas are: Manage and implement software releases and upgrades Manage all GIS databases Work with stakeholders to develop and implement governance policies for the GIS Work with stakeholders to set the strategic direction for the development of the GIS Consult with internal clients to determine business requirements and design technical solutions to satisfy these needs Provide leadership and guidance in the design of Councils GIS systems and services LETS DESCRIBE YOU We are looking for someone with specialist experience administering ESRI enterprise technology in a fast paced and challenging corporate environment. You enjoy working within a team, but can independently and proactively use your analytical skills, and understanding of current and emerging technologies and trends, to connect people and technology in order to critically analyse business needs, solve challenges, create opportunities and implement geospatial solutions. You have a high attention to detail, are customer focused and pride yourself in working collaboratively to uplift geospatial capability across our organisation.
