The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead critical cyber security operations within a high-impact government environment. This role plays a key part in protecting complex systems and supporting mission-critical outcomes through proactive risk management, threat detection, and incident response.
Your duties will include:
* Lead and manage cyber security operations, including SOC capability and team oversight
* Oversee vulnerability management activities across multiple systems and environments
* Drive incident response planning, execution, and continuous improvement
* Conduct threat hunting activities and apply cyber threat intelligence to operations
* Manage cyber supply chain risk and support security assurance activities
* Engage with stakeholders to provide expert advice and reporting on cyber risks and posture
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
* Proven experience leading or working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
* Strong incident response experience across detection, analysis, and remediation
* Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
* Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management and risk assessment
* Solid understanding of GRC principles within a cyber security context
* Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
