Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort are looking for a skilled and motivated Demi Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.
This role supports the smooth operation of the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, cooking, and presentation, and delivering a high-quality dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
* Assist in the development and plating of high-quality meals.
* Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
* Support and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
* Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen efficiency improvements.
Shift Details
* Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
* Shifts may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
* Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)
Monday - Friday: $29.88 per hourSaturday: $37.35 per hourSunday: $44.82 per hour
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Previous experience as a Demi Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
* Relevant Australian cookery qualifications, ideally Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation standards.
* Understanding of HACCP, OH&S, and kitchen hygiene requirements.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
* Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
