Job Title: HSE Advisor

You will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture, while supporting our workforce and leaders to achieve best-practice health, safety, and environmental outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide coaching and advice to leaders on legislative compliance, RCR safety standards, and incident/injury management.
* Support leaders in conducting risk assessments and using risk management tools.
* Champion the Group Critical Risk Management program across the workshop.
* Provide immediate support in the management and closeout of incidents and near misses.
* Assist in incident investigations and ensure injuries are managed in line with procedures, working closely with the Injury Management Advisor.
* Guide accurate and timely reporting of hazards, incidents, and injuries in SAI360.
* Proactively engage with employees through prestart and toolbox meetings, site visits, and HSE discussions.
* Support hazard identification and resolution within the workforce.
* Mentor Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and facilitate monthly HSR meetings.
* Conduct inspections, audits, and other assurance activities to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
* Complete HSE reports and assist in developing and reviewing HSE plans, procedures, and supporting documentation.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Work Health and Safety.
* Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003).
* Current C Class Driver's Licence.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in HSE roles.
* Solid knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and best practices.
* Understanding of risk and Critical Risk Management.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Competency in MS Office and safety management systems (e.g., SAI360 or MYOSH).
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholder groups.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
