About the Role:
As a Fitter / Machinist, you will show up each day with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment to helping ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest quality.

In this role you will be responsible for:

* Set up, program, operate, and monitor CNC lathes.
* Accurately read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files and specifications to produce accurate components.
* Adjust machine parameters, speeds, feeds, and tooling as required.
* Perform CNC program editing or creation as required.
* Ensure measurements and components meet required tolerances.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC lathes as needed.
* Identify non-conformances and work with supervisors/engineers to resolve issues.
* Undertaking materials handling / processing and associated tasks with the emphasis on Safety, Quality, productivity, cost, continuous improvement, delivery and Environmental concerns
* Ensuring compliance to ISO9001 and all Bradken Quality policies and procedures and participate where required in any associated Quality audits
* Assist and work with maintenance and engineering personnel where necessary
* Coaching and mentoring apprentices and junior personnel as required
* Support the Machine Shop with additional tasks as required.

About You:
You will have the enthusiasm and self-drive to work to the highest standard. You will champion safety, mentor less experienced staff, and help deliver great results.

You will also have:

* Mechanical Fitting and/or Machining trade qualification
* 3 years' experience in a mechanical trade within a manufacturing environment (preferred)
* Knowledge of safe working procedures
* Sound numeric reasoning
* Knowledge of process improvement techniques (desirable)
